Lake Moon Festival: Celebrate the Best of Summer

This was the official website for the 2015 2nd annual Lake Moon Festival. The content below is from the sites archived pages. I attended the festival with my family while visiting grandparents in Mequon. I even participated in the 5K race. It was a great way to end our vacation. However when we returned to NYC a disaster awaited us. There was a misunderstanding with our house/dog sitter as to when we were returning. She left a day early so our dogs had no way to relieve themselves outside. Instead they decided the antique carpet in the front hall would be the perfect litter location. What a smelly mess. My wife immediately called the carpet cleaning company we have always used for our annual carpet cleaning. A representative came by a few hours later to access the carpet. He assured us that they would be able to removed all signs of the stains and odor. Out went the rug and a week later it returned looking like new. Thank goodness we didn't have to search around for carpet cleaning in New York City companies. We were all looking forward to attending the 2016 Lake Moon Festival, but learned from the festival's Facebook page that they were not going to hold one that year. Let's hope the festival returns in 2017.
